Software Options for Students

There are different options for getting software depending on the software needed and your field of study.

Office 365

All students, faculty and staff with an activated WUSTL Key can install and activate the Microsoft Office apps on up to five personally-owned devices at no cost. See the Office for Home page to find instructions for your operating system.

Software Licensing

The Software Licensing Catalog has a limited number of software programs that are available to students to install on their personally-owned computers. Please check the Catalog before purchasing elsewhere as these may be free or offered at a lower price.

University Libraries offers Geographical Information Systems software for free, ArcGIS and QGIS.

Web-Based Applications
