Noonlight (formerly SafeTrek)
Free personal mobile safety app
- This Task has been designed for use by all roles. For all roles
Led by the Office of Operations and Technology Transfer, in cooperation with the Washington University Police department, WashU contracted with SafeTrek, a personal mobile safety app. Like a blue light phone in the palm of your hand, SafeTrek is another tool we use to promote safety. Whether on campus or anywhere else in the continental U.S., the app can be activated if you are feeling unsafe. SafeTrek provides peace of mind that help is always there if you need it. The University is providing SafeTrek **free of charge** to all students, faculty, staff and Basic Services Contractor employees. To activate your subscription, click on "Launch task" button in the top right side of this page and follow these steps: 1. Enter your WUSTL email address, cell number and click “Get free subscription.” 2. Open the text message sent to your mobile device and click on the free download link provided. 3. Bypass any method of payment requests by clicking “Skip” 4. Download the app and complete set up instructions. Should you encounter any difficulties downloading the app, please contact Nick Droege at Nick_droege@Safetrekapp.com for assistance.
